The Filipino Breakfast
The Filipino breakfast may sometimes include fresh tropical fruits like mangoes, pineapples and watermelons, like this breakfast platter I had in Boracay.
The Sizzling Plate
Filipinos really enjoy food served on a sizzling plate like this sizzling chicken dish I've had not so long ago. This was simply fantastic!
Filipino Breads are Great Too
I've tasted so many breads in the Philippines. Although I think Pan de Sal is the best bread I've tasted, there are some other promising ones out there like this one.
The Famous Sinigang
Sinigang, which is a choice of pork or beef in a tamarind soup base is one of the most popular dishes in the Philippines. I should say that this dish never fails to give me that light and happy feeling.
Tropical Fruits in Season
The Philippines is also well-known for the wide array of sweet and succulent fruits. There's always at least one kind of flavorful fruit every season so you'd never run out of fresh fruits all year.
This month's provincial feature is Bel Piatto, an Asian-Italian fusion restaurant in Batangas City. Do check it out in the site's provincial features tab.
